Artist Statement/Resume
Me, I’m still a work in progress. As I get older I think about what I want out of life. I do know that photography will play a major role in my future. I was once a Marine, and of course always a Marine. My true love and what I can rely on anytime of the day is my photography. It takes me away from all of the nastiness that this world can offer and puts me in a place that I could probably get lost in for hours. I see more clearly now and can visualize a moment in time that for some can never be regained. It’s hard to explain to someone who has no idea what it’s like to view the world through a lens of a camera. It is the passion of getting that perfect shot and seeing it come to life in front of your eyes. My hope is to try to share with people my personal vision and unique perspective on the kind of work I do, and a glimpse of who I truly am as an image maker. My philosophy is when there’s something you want fight for it. Don’t give up no matter how hopeless it seems, even when you’ve lost hope, because years from now many people look back and wish you gave it one more try because the best things in life DON’T come easy, and easy is not in my vocabulary. Photography is my passion and It will always be an integral part of my life and hopefully career.
